Development Engineer - Financial Markets (FR)

The position

Technical Expert - Performance & Quality (FR)

The position

As part of the “ULLINK Factory”, the Technical Expert is working under the direct responsibility of the Factory Manager and liaises on a daily basis with the Technical Account Managers, providing them with technical expertise on the ULLINK solutions, ready-to-be-deployed packages matching our client requirements. This mission includes:

1. Validation and maintenance of template platforms:
The Technical Expert receives new pre-built packages and has to write and execute tests to validate them. Moreover, as an innovative Software Vendor, ULLINK’s products are evolving at a high pace, the Technical Expert’s role is then to maintain and revalidate these standard packages as often as required.

2. Validation of Factory-built customer platforms:
The Technical Expert is in charge of validating that customer-specific platforms built by the Factory are behaving as expected both functionally and in terms of performances. This includes validating architecture, defining and running appropriate tests afterward.

3. Support:
The Technical Expert is able to analyze L3 support incidents raised on performance issues. He acts as an expert inside the Factory and commits to qualify these issues within ULLINK’s SLA either to provide a solution to the customer or to raise a qualified issue to the Product team.

4. Technical Advisory:
As an expert on technical & performance issues, the Technical Expert assists Technical Account Managers when designing and testing Proof Of Concepts. He also provides his knowledge and expertise to T.A.M whose customers are performing benchmarks on ULLINK’s products.

5. Technical audit:
The Technical Expert performs full technical audits of a customer platform. To that extent, he is able to design solutions or workarounds for all issues found.

Key Requirements and Qualifications

The Technical Expert comes from a technical background and is looking to move to a communicative client-related role, applying existing technical expertise and acquiring additional specialist knowledge. This position implies short term client-facing missions.

Mandatory:

Technical Account Manager (FR)

The position

Working directly under the responsibility of the Local Head of Client service, the Technical Account Manager (T.A.M.) will be the single technical point of contact of a set of clients. He/she will be working hand in hand with one or many Client Service Managers (CSM) in order to ensure the following missions:

- Technical advisory: just as our product and our fast-paced industry, our clients are constantly evolving and often require technical advisory on the Ullink solutions. The T.A.M is in charge of either providing the proper expertise or involving the CSM when deemed necessary.

- Platform building: Though complex client platforms are built and assembled by a specific set of experts, the T.A.M. has to assemble the client platforms containing only "off the shelf" components. This implies being technically knowledgeable on the Ullink mature products.

- Deployment: Once engineered, our clients' platforms need to be seamlessly integrated to our clients' environments; let it be through on-site operations or remote connections. The T.A.M. has to ensure successful completion of this phase, either with our clients' teams or with our internal production department.

- Project follow-up: Though the CSM has the ownership of conducting proper project management, the T.A.M has to produce regular updates / checkpoints to both his clients and the different CSM's he/she is working with.

- Support: Our T.A.M's are in charge of the Level 2 support, which includes taking ownership of all the cases raised by the client or the very platform itself (alerts). This means: opening an incident ticket, defining the impact for the client, qualifying the incident, gathering all the components required for resolution (logs, configuration, etc…), providing quick and prompt responses to customers, resolutions whenever possible or escalating to further levels of support. Our support is locally open as per S.L.A., and the T.A.M's team is subject to shift to that extent.

- Client training: Depending on the chosen level of service, level 1 support and monitoring of the Ullink solution can be under the direct responsibility of our clients. To that extent, the T.A.M is in charge of providing on-site training to specific departments within our clients' organizations. The allocation of the T.A.M providing the training is left at the discretion to the HCS.

Your profile

Technical Requirements

Client Services Manager (UK)

The position

Working directly under the responsibility of the regional Head of Client Service, the Client Service Manager is primarily responsible of a client portfolio, and guarantees that ULLINK provides the best-suited solution(s) to his / her clients, the adequate level of service, and the proper responsiveness that suits to our business. Acting as the “ambassador” of ULLINK, this position implies taking personal responsibilities on managing the clients’ projects, support cases and overall client awareness on the latest ULLINK solutions. This position implies working internally with a set of technical experts and can be broken down into five areas of expertise:

1. Solution design:
The primary mission of the CSM is to understand his/her clients’ business and make sure that ULLINK puts together the adequate solution and architecture to address them. A thorough understanding of our industry and an in-depth knowledge of the ULLINK products is hence required.

2. Project management:
The CSM has to guarantee a seamless integration of the ULLINK solution into our clients’ environments. A key aspect of this position is the writing of the initial Project Implementation Plan, Project Plan, Client requirements, risk analysis, and then to provide maximum transparency on the overall project advancement. This includes producing a weekly status to both the client team and the ULLINK management, ensuring that the “Estimated Time of Arrivals” are respected, and being the first point of escalation after the T.A.M.

3. Technical operation management:
On top of conducting client project, the CSM will work with a set of Technical Account Managers (T.A.M): T.A.Ms are in charge of performing the implementation of the solution, the deployment of new functionalities / components, and the day to day Level 2 support. The CSM has to show true talents of organization and planning to achieve such a task as he/she will also need to liaise when needed, with our Product Managers, Business Analysts or Product Strategists should further expertise be needed on a given client requirement.

4. Issues follow up:
It is under the CSM responsibility to ensure that every issue reported by our clients are addressed within the timeframe defined in the ULLINK Service Level Agreement. This implies liaising on a daily basis with the Technical Account Managers, controlling the advancement made on the most critical ongoing issues and coordinating internal efforts if and when required.

5. Detecting new business opportunities:
Our customers are at the heart of our organization and they need to be aware of our latest product features, solutions or service offerings. To that extent, the CSM will have to keep his/her client base updated on a frequent yet regular basis in order to detect potential sales opportunities. He / she can then be assisted by a product specialist to further dig in the client’s needs and design a proper solution.

This position implies frequent travels to our different clients’ offices. Initiatives will also be expected in formalizing the client communication and producing accurate client satisfaction measurement. A client Service Manager is expected to handle an important number of clients.

The areas of responsibilities include:
- Ensuring satisfactory achievement of projects (can be on a global basis in cooperation with other Client Service Managers or different product experts).
- Make sure clients’ requirements, needs and expectations are tracked and resolved in a satisfactory fashion.
- Be the first point of escalation after the T.A.M.
- Produce a monthly report to the regional Head of Client Services.
- Publish and enhance standard newsletter to inform our existing client base of the latest news of our company and products.
- Organize proactive client meetings, let it be for project follow-up or global company update.
- Take immediate action in case of critical situation at client site.

Your profile

University graduate in Business Administration, Finance or Computer Science.
A minimum of 3 years IT project management experience on complex and international projects. Experience in managing multinational stakeholders and virtual teams worldwide.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Understanding on financial trading application or Order Management System is highly desirable.
Professional project management qualification (e.g. PMP)
